Athletics
at Sacred Heart

Our Athletics Department is committed to promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and competitive spirit

Our Athletic Philosophy

The Sacred Heart School of Montreal recognizes that extracurricular athletics promotes leadership, team building, good citizenship, high academic standards, and community responsibility. Extracurricular athletics demand a high level of commitment, excellence, and self-motivation, which will help prepare students for the challenges they will meet outside the school community.

Leading with a competitive drive, our athletics program also teaches values like commitment, sportsmanship, teamwork, and resiliency. Open to all students, participating in extracurricular athletics is a privilege that we are happy to offer at The Sacred Heart School of Montreal.

1 | Commitment

Athletes show full commitment and hard work towards their team and individual goals, learning the value of resiliency in the process.

2 | Community

Athletes work closely together as a team in order to develop a strong sense of school spirit and pride.

3 | Character

A team culture where athletes learn how to be tough competitors while respecting others and are role models in our school and in the greater community.

Our school is a member of the Greater Montreal Athletics Association (GMAA) and participates in tournaments and leagues along with the public school boards and other private schools in the greater Montreal area. We offer 12 different sports at our school making up over 25 competitive teams.
