Head of School
The future at heart
Welcome, and thank you for expressing an interest in our school! We hope that you, like thousands of young women who have called Sacred Heart their school over the past 157 years, will also feel right at home here. Our student body, faculty, staff and administration work hard to make it a warm and caring environment while keeping our teacher-to-student ratio low. This is just one of the ways that we ensure personal, caring treatment of every Sacred Heart girl.
You don’t have to take my word for it: watch one of our videos, My School, My Home, Sacred Heart, to see testimonials from some of our students; visit us at any time by contacting Admissions to make an appointment or speak with our Enrolment Management Coordinator, Stephanie or sign up to be a Student-for-a-Day anytime that is convenient for you, and experience the school first-hand.
When you visit our school be sure to ask about the laptop program introducing Chromebooks for every student and Google Apps for Education; our free online tutoring offered by GradeSlam; and our newly introduced French social sciences option for Secondary I students. You can also follow us on one of the school’s several social media feeds like Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter, to get a sense of the everyday life of the school and what it is to be a Sacred Heart girl!
I am often asked, what is “special” about Sacred Heart? The following set us apart:
|-All Girls’ English Catholic School||-Low Student-Faculty Ratio at 6:1|
|-Small Class Sizes||-Rich Arts Curriculum|
|-Dedicated, Highly Qualified Faculty||-Exchange Programs|
|-Close Partnership with Parents||-Competitive and Challenging Athletics Program|
|-Active Social Justice Culture||-Advanced Placement courses|
|-Accelerated and Enrichment Programs||-Continual Focus on Academic Excellence|
|-Access to a Worldwide Network of Sacred Heart Schools|
If you are motivated to attend Sacred Heart, but you are not sure your family can afford it, speak to us about Bursary opportunities. Last year, 25 percent of our students received financial aid, with an average bursary of $5,900. Last year’s bursary budget was $300,000. You will find more information right here on our Web site and by contacting the Admissions office.
I hope to see you soon and I look forward to welcoming you to Sacred Heart.
