Soccer Program

The Sacred Heart School of Montreal is proud to offer its female high school students a unique soccer program in partnership with the Ribeiro-Moojen Pre-University Soccer Program (RMPUS). No other coaching team or organization in Quebec has placed more players at the NCAA & U Sports levels. Thanks to RMPUS, over 150 players have been awarded university scholarships and the number keeps growing.

How it Works

Students attend high school (7 to 11) or grade 12 at Sacred Heart and receive additional elite professional soccer training outside of school times. In addition, members of the RMPUS Sr. Showcase team have access to physiotherapy, kiniesologists, and a customized Training & Nutrition Program. Furthermore, all players will receive training gear, tracksuits and a travel bag.

All soccer program students can play for the SHSM GMAA soccer team; they may also train with the team and play in all games. Students in these programs can play for their borough league, regional leagues and associations while being enrolled in this program. The RMPUS Sr. Showcase program can potentially lead to NCAA compliance and opportunities for athletic scholarships and recruitment in various universities across North America.

Fees are in addition to the school tuition, and vary by soccer program. Boarding is also available.

Who Can Sign Up?

  • Students enrolled in grades 7, 8 or 9 at Sacred Heart with an interest in developing their soccer skills, can join the RMPUS Jr. development team.
  • Students enrolled in grades 10, 11 or 12 at Sacred Heart can try out for the RMPUS Sr. Showcase team

Grades 7,8 & 9
Who can apply? Any student enrolled at Sacred Heart for grade 7, 8 or 9 student passionate about soccer, who wants to learn and train with outstanding professionals.

SCHEDULE (modifications may occur)

  • September-November: GMAA fall season and training
  • December-January (off season): 2 practices per week
  • Winter: GMAA Futsal season 
  • Spring: local friendly games and technical training

Grades 10, 11 & 12
Who can apply? The RMPUS Sr. Showcase program is designed for the soccer players enrolled for grades 10, 11 or 12 at Sacred Heart, whose goal is to receive scholarships to play and study at the NCAA or U Sport level.  The program includes SAT preparation, a highlight video to promote each player, NCAA consultation and support, as well as a tour of Ivy League universities.

  • 20 practices
  • Fall Showcase (East Coast)
  • Winter Showcase (Montverde Florida)
  • Spring Showcase (NCAA Showcase)
  • NCAA tour & exhibitions games
  • Transcripts evaluation & SAT preparation

We recommend that girls remain in their current soccer clubs but there may be some travelling conflicts.
