MODEL UN SUCCESS
Where does the balance lie between collaboration and competition? Once again this year, Secondary III, IV and V students were led by Religion & Social Sciences teacher and alumna Maria Cusma-Dovico (Class of ’06) to both compete and collaborate in a Model UN environment, alongside students from college and university. “Even our youngest students all rose to the occasion and I am very proud of their participation in this rigorous 3 day event,” said Ms. Cusma. This was the first international Model UN conference for Sacred Heart students.
For the second year in a row, Secondary V student Katalina T. obtained the highest honour: the award for Diplomacy. She represented India in the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs Committee.
Congratulations to Ms. Cusma, and to all of the students for their hard work and collaboration!
