CITY HOUSE FOUNDATION

Established in 1981 through the joint efforts of the Parents’ Guild (formally known as the Mothers’ Guild), the Advisory Council (formally known as the Advisory Board) and the Society of the Sacred Heart (Canada), the City House Foundation is a non-profit organization. Its general purpose is to provide financial support to the Sacred Heart School of Montreal. The trustees of the Foundation support an annual program to raise funds to be retained and invested. The income generated is used to fund three types of activities: General support for the school (i.e. special needs as they may arise); Bursaries & Scholarships; Enrichment Programs.

The Annual Sacred Heart Golf Tournament
Annual Fundraising Gala
CHF Benefit Concert
Annual Telephone Campaign

Your financial support has helped Sacred Heart excel over the past year: In 2015-2016, your donations helped 54 students attend Sacred Heart through the Bursary & Scholarships Program.

Your generosity has assisted with the purchase of Chromebooks for all students after the successful Google Apps for education Pilot Program launched in 2015. In addition to the purchase of integrated projectors, e-beams, smartboards and additional technology, complete renovation of the arts room, the expansion and refurbishment of the library and resource centre, complete renovation of the Science Lab, upgrading classrooms with new lighting, whiteboards and furnishings.

Tax Receipts Donations and gifts-in-kind are eligible for tax receipts or tax credits as outlined and prescribed by the Canada Revenue Agency.

Planned Giving Planned Giving programs allow donations through an estate gift, thereby ensuring that Sacred Heart will continue to be a place where scholarship and values matter, all the while, helping you achieve your tax and financial goals.
