Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is responsible for the governance of The Sacred Heart School of Montreal. Duties include: establishing and overseeing the strategic direction of the school; ensuring the goals and objectives are met and are consistent with Sacred Heart's mission; and monitoring the sound financial and overall management by the Administration.
The Board is comprised of dedicated volunteers with diverse backgrounds from the Sacred Heart community who give freely of their time to fulfill the many Board responsibilities, and to ensure the continuing success and long-term stability of The Sacred Heart School of Montreal.
The Board of Directors for 2009-2010 has 16 members:

New Members who will bring the following expertise and experience to the Board are:
Carmen Di Ioia: Architect with OPUS Construction Inc. She brings many years of experience as an architect and project manager responsible for program development and co-ordination of design, furniture & fit-ups, technology and communications, and client occupancy at many large facilities, as well as renovation and expansion project experience. Ms. Di Ioia is an Alumna of The Sacred Heart School of Montreal.
Patricia MacDougall: Director of the Montreal division of Accès Services Santé GSS Inc. She manages the operations and development of the Montreal division that includes 11 administrative resources and 250 field employees, is responsible for business development in the Montreal region and manages its ISO 9001 system. Previous experiences include occupying the positions of Recruitment Director, Administrative Director and Home Care Coordinator with various organizations. Ms. MacDougall is an Alumna and a parent of Sec. II and Sec. IV students at The Sacred Heart School of Montreal.
Antonia Maioni: Director of the McGill Institute for the Study of Canada / Associate Professor of Political Science at McGill / William Dawson Scholar. She teaches in the Department of Political Science and the Canadian Studies Programme in the Faculty of Arts at McGill University. Ms. Maioni is a frequent media commentator on Canadian and Quebec politics and public policy, sits on the boards of the Institute for Research on Public Policy, the McCord Museum of Canadian History and the Canadian Health Services Research Foundation, and is a member of the Executive of the Banff Forum. Ms. Maioni is an Alumna of The Sacred Heart School of Montreal.
Tania Tretiak: Senior Legal Counsel with Pfizer Canada Inc.. Her duties with Pfizer Canada include supporting its Corporate Compliance Group, as well as providing guidance to its Governmental Affairs and Stakeholder Relations Division and its Human Resources Division. She is also a member of the Board of the Andover Canadian Fund which oversees the awarding of financial scholarships to Canadian students to enable them to attend Philips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts. Ms. Tretiak is an Alumna of The Sacred Heart School of Montreal.
Pierre Antoine Brais: Project Director for Groupe Lemay, architecture & design. He has over 27 years of experience in designing, managing and building the interior of commercial premises. He is a member of the Interior Designers of Canada Association and of the Association professionnelle des designers intérieur du Québec. Mr. Brais is a parent of a Sec. II student at The Sacred Heart School of Montreal.
