The Day of the Entrance Exam

The entrance examination tests verbal and mathematical skills as well as general ability to do high school work. One portion of this entrance examination can be taken in French (Secondary I only), if the applicant so wishes.

Applicants and their parents should arrive at the School by 8:15 a.m.

Be sure to bring the original of both the birth certificate and the certificate of eligibility for English instruction. By law, the School must retain copies of each of these documents on file. Also, please bring a copy of the applicant's latest available report card.

Applicants should bring two HB pencils and a good eraser; calculators are not permitted during the test.

The entrance examination begins at 8:30 a.m. and usually lasts three hours.

While the examination is taking place, parents will have an interview with a member of the administration and will be offered a visit of the School. Refreshments will be served. Applicants are invited to join our students in the dining room for lunch.

After lunch, applicants will have a meeting with a member of the administration. All students will be ready to leave by approximately 2:00 p.m.

Please Note

The original birth certificate and the original certificate of eligibility for English instruction must be brought to the school on the day of the entrance examination.

  • The applicant writes the entrance examination.
  • The Admissions Committee reviews applications and supporting documents, as well as the entrance examination results and interviews. The parents and applicant are informed of the decision by mail.
  • Parents should notify the school of their decision within two weeks of receiving acceptance letters. A non-refundable deposit of $200 to reserve a place for your daughter is due at that time.

If you have any additional questions, please contact Admissions at 514-937-2845 (ext. 102).
