Note to Alumnae
Montreal's Sacred Heart school has graduated more than 6000 graduates in its 148-year history. And today with the electronic advantages of email and on-line directories, just over 1500 are in touch with their alma mater on a regular basis – posting photos, looking up former classmates, acting as class reps for reunion get-togethers, and just keeping us and each other in-the-know about what they're up to. We are grateful for the ongoing support and involvement of our dedicated alumnae. Here are just some of the ways you have demonstrated commitment to Sacred Heart lately:
- Alumnae provided water bottles and accompanied our current Sacred Heart students in their annual Girls for the Cure walk to Mount Royal.
- Fourteen of the fifteen surviving jubilarians turned out to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their graduation last October.
- For the first time ever, we had a group of graduates from 60 years ago gather together at the 2008 reunion dinner.
- Alumnae donated to our school's Sacred Heart Christmas baskets.
- The Alumnae Association once again successfully raised enough monies at their Christmas Bazaar stand to finance another year of schooling for their Uganda child, Viktoria, including her room and board.
- Alumnae have kindly offered yearbooks and grad photos to help us complete our memory book collection and gallery of graduates.

In anticipation of our school's 150th Anniversary celebrations coming up in 2010-2011, we are seeking items such as scrapbooks, sashes, old photos, graduation programmes, etc. for inclusion in an historic display. Please drop us a line at the alumnae office if you are interested in contributing.
